Today’s Pictures: 13 July 20

Canoeists on the River Wye, which flows past the end of the village.

All over our wonderful world there are people who can’t get out and enjoy nature just now. Here, I’m trying to brighten the days for them by posting pictures of natural beauty.

Gayle Beck near Hawes. Taken July 2018.

If you get pleasure from this, please share it as widely as you can, so others can enjoy it, too. Thank you.

  1. Thanks, Lynette. It’s quite a popular pasttime on the River Wye, with various landing spots along the river where the canoists can tie up and have a drink or a meal. It can be quite fun watching them in this particular spot, as just the the right is a small seasonal islet, which divides the current into two, with one branch being quite rapid. It catches some of them out and they get turned round there, speeding downriver backwards, until they find the quiet middle of the current again!
