Today’s Pictures: 24 June 20

Sun and shade among the firs.

Trying to brighten the day for those people isolated indoors during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Warm! It’s 29C (84F) here. Lunch in the garden; wonderful!

A bend in the River Ure near Middleham in the Yorkshire Dales. Taken August 2012

        1. We only rarely see mosquitoes, Lynette. Not enough standing water to encourage them. But we get whopping horse flies, which can give a nasty bite.
          Take care and stay well.

  2. Very warm for you! Next week I am taking holidays for about a month and heading to B.C. – it will average about 33-34C, but we will spend quite a bit of time next to one of the big lakes. 🙂
Lovely photos, especially the second one. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Lynette.
Enjoy your holiday. Valerie would love those temperatures. And our daughter currently lives in Darwin, Australia, where such temperatures as your BC ones are common.
The high 20s will do for me!

        1. Different on the Greek islands. They have temperatures in the 30s most of summer, but the breezes off the Mediterranean make it much more comfortable. It’s very warm again here today; lunch in the garden, which is nice.

            1. Don’t think we’ll get one today. I looked out of the window to check after reading your comment, Lynette. Grey skies, threatening rain. But I was rewarded by the flight of a heron as it crossed the valley!
