Creative #Writing #Contests Table Updated

Santorini Surf.

This is late; it should be the 1st of the month when I remind you that the creative writing contest table has been updated. It lives on the ‘Resources’ page, here. It’s late because my PC died (had to have a new hard drive, and all files and programs re-installed) just before I went away for a week to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife. So, sorry for the delay, but here it is at last.

For new visitors:

Many contests are free to enter and offer great cash prizes. Some seek either unpublished or beginner writers. The table currently offers contests with entry dates from Oct 2019 to Feb 2020.

Submit your entries in plenty of time. There are some spectacular prizes, and real kudos to be had. Please ignore moans about ‘paid for’ contests: most competitions are run by voluntary organisations with little money. Entry fees provide prizes and sometimes pay judges; usually professional people in the writing world whose time is precious.

Imagine the joy when you win! The cash and the kudos. And it won’t hurt your CV.

The table updates every time I save it, so whenever you visit, it’s as current as it is on my PC. You can access it by clicking here. Have fun and get some cash for your writing.

This takes hours of my precious time, spent finding and updating information, I also subscribe to sources that charge me for information I pass freely to you. You’ll help me keep producing this resource if you click the green button on the right of any tabbed page and ‘Buy me a Coffee’. Surprisingly, it costs about the price of a coffee. Thank you very much!

If you’d like this monthly reminder as an email, please click the ‘Follow this blog’ button at the top of the right-hand column and provide your details on the small form. Neither I, nor WordPress, will spam you, but you’ll receive an informative email each time I post. And the picture above? A spot of inspirational imagery. I’m also a photographer and belong to an organisation called Picfair that believes photographers should be paid for their work. You can find the original of the picture above here. And my gallery of work on the site, here.
