    A lot of this is down to the still dreadful way that women are regarded and treated in many countries. If that issue could be resolved (when hell freezes over, I fear…) then literacy rates would be hugely improved.

      Totally agree, Mick. Educate the women of the world and we’ll solve many of the problems. But too many old men are in positions of power at present to allow such liberty.
